At Touchstone Systems, we design and manufacture electrical panels in-house — from standard distribution boards to customised control systems — tailored to the specific requirements of each project. Our team manages the full process, from design and manufacture through to testing, ensuring all panels meet applicable safety and performance standards and integrate effectively with existing systems.

Power Distribution Boards

  • Design and manufacture of custom low voltage (LV) power distribution panels
  • Form-rated assemblies (Form 1–4) to meet project and safety requirements
  • Incoming supply configurations including ACB, MCCB and fused switch options
  • Generator, UPS and alternative energy source integration
  • Load segregation and essential / non-essential supply arrangements
  • Metering, power quality monitoring and energy management integration
  • Arc fault mitigation and safety-focused panel layouts
  • Compliance with AS/NZS 61439 and relevant Australian Standards

Motor Control Centres (MCCs)

  • Design and manufacture of custom motor control centres for industrial applications
  • Integration of leading motor control equipment including Schneider, Allen-Bradley, Siemens and ABB
  • Motor starting methods including DOL, soft starters and variable speed drives (VSDs)
  • Protection systems including overload, short circuit, earth fault and motor protection relays
  • Integration with SCADA, DCS and plant automation systems

PLC Control and Field IO Panels

  • Design and manufacture of custom PLC control panels for industrial automation systems
  • Integration of leading PLC platforms including Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Schneider and Omron
  • Network design and integration including Ethernet/IP, Profinet, Modbus TCP and fibre optic systems
  • Integration with SCADA, DCS and cloud-based monitoring platforms
  • Power supply design including redundancy and UPS integration where required
  • Scalable architectures for small standalone systems through to large plant-wide control
  • Distributed I/O systems to reduce cabling and improve installation efficiency
  • Intrinsically safe (IS) and hazardous area (Ex) panel designs
